BeLED by Jesus. Be Light Entrusted Disciples of Jesus. Be part of the BeLED Family.

What does it mean to BeLED?

I AM the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.

• Jesus (John 8:12) •

Each follower of Jesus has a story to tell. Each follower is a light in the darkness. Our stories are often referred to as testimonies because they are a testimony of God in our lives, showcasing the ever-presence of God. Before we recognize that God is at work, He was working. As we doubt His current activity in our lives, He is working. As we face an unknown future, He is already at work.

Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we also believe, and so we also speak, knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence. For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.

• Paul (II Corinthians 4:13-15) •

Join us as we rediscover God’s mighty presence and activity in the lives of those led by Jesus Christ. Recognize the presence of God at work in your own life and the lives of your neighbors, congregation, family, and coworkers. God’s presence is what brings wellness to our souls, minds, and bodies. BeLED by Jesus, trusting by faith in His promises of presence and provision, all to the glory of God.

BeLED to walk in the light.

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

• John (I John 1:5-9) •

Have fellowship with one another. Be cleansed by the blood of Jesus from our sin. Praise God that he loved us so much that He was willing to send His only Son to pay the price for our sins. His work, not ours, cleanses us of our sins. Acknowledging that we have sinned and failed and need a savior is acknowledging the work of Salvation that Jesus has done for us.

The stories shared here are not stories of our victory, but of our reliance on the victory Jesus won for us with the cleansing power of His blood. Stories of struggles and temptations that are only overcome by Jesus working in and through us in our lives. We are His vessels at work in the world.

For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.

• Paul (Ephesian 5:8-10) •

The Light of Jesus is what shines in the darkness. The Light that is in us is His light. Be a Light Entrusted Disciple of Jesus.
