About BeLED Family
The BeLED Family has a strong desire to be led by God and to do His will.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.

We believe that we need to be led by Jesus, our Savior from our sins. We trust in the Lord, Jesus Christ, to guide us to love the Light (Jesus Christ) and be Light Entrusted Disciples whose actions, by the power of His Holy Spirit that is living inside us, reflect our Master, Jesus Christ. It is not our understanding or our guidance that is true or good., but His.
As Light Entrusted Disciples of Jesus, we believe that as we encourage the Body of Christ, the Church, to build quality relationships, the Light of Jesus will shine ever more brightly in our dark world. Our families, our congregations, our neighborhoods, our vocations and our wellness will shine the Light of Jesus for others to see.

BeLED Family desires to walk beside Jesus followers to engage, equip and encourage them as they are ultimately led by Jesus.
Our desire is to see you grow and flourish in the place you are already at, using the gifts you have already been given. Rediscover your unique contribution that God has already given you; learn how to recognize where He is already at work in your community and how to BeLED alongside others to glorify Him.
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

We are called to shine as lights in the darkness and to build up one another as we are led by Jesus who is The Way, The Truth, and The Life.
We believe that as we follow Jesus on His way, He will draw all people to Himself, will guide them, and will grow His family. We want to be a part of the great things He is already doing. Will you join us on this adventure that lasts an eternity?

We are an LLC, not a 501(c)3.
Why is BeLED an LLC and not a 501(c)(3)?
We thought through the options and simply chose to be an LLC.
While there are some benefits from the government to being deemed a charitable organization, there are also strict requirements. Likely, we would not have any trouble adhering to the requirements that are currently in place; however, if the government were to add to those requirements, dissolving a charitable organization is much more difficult than starting one. We prefer to have the freedom to follow the Lord’s leading wherever that may take us without needing the approval of the government to do so.
Does that mean BeLED has to pay taxes?
Yes. But we are encouraged in that by the words of Jesus in Matthew 22:
Then the Pharisees went and plotted how to entangle him in his words. And they sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are true and teach the way of God truthfully, and you do not care about anyone’s opinion, for you are not swayed by appearances. Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, “Why put me to the test, you hypocrites? Show me the coin for the tax.” And they brought him a denarius. And Jesus said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” They said, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” When they heard it, they marveled. And they left him and went away.

Does that mean those who make a purchase through BeLED are not able to include that amount as a deduction on their taxes?
Right. Any purchase from BeLED is not tax deductible. For most people, that will not make any difference as they are likely to take the standard deduction as opposed to itemized deductions. If you’re wondering if that applies to you, feel free to look up your standard deduction on the IRS website.
